Harry Hardwick fought at Samui International Stadium tonight against a French fighter called Yohan who had fought in Thailand 3x with a 3 win record 2 by KO!!
This was Harry’s first fight in Thailand and his 5th in total. He was super nervous before but after warming up felt ready to enjoy and grow from the experience.
The first round was steady and Harry used his length well keeping Yohan at range with his jab and teeps and he landed some good head kicks from both legs and a strong knee to the body. Yohan kept trying to close Harry down using heavy punches to the body and head but Jarry kept focused and stuck to the long range plan.
The second round was faster paced and Harry looked more comfortable coming forward more but still using long range techniques picking his shots well. Yohan kept the pressure on trying to close the range down but as he stepped in to throw a flurry of punches Harry landed a sharp elbow to the forehead and cut Yohan. Seeing that Yohan was hurt Harry came forward and landed a sharp right hand to the forehead followed by a combination of knees and more elbows to the head. The referee stopped the contest to declare Harry the winner by KO.
A fantastic performance from Harry against a good opponent. Once again thank you to Maenam Muaythai for their cornering and the opportunity.
