S3 Show Coventry ….. Results
Riley Carnall (WickerCamp) vs Tyler Mac Glaughlin(8 Limbs)…. this was the young fighters debut adult bout. Riley won by unanimous decision and gave an excellent first time performance, he looked strong, his work rate was excellent and he landed fantastic punch, kick and knee combinations.
Henry Chester (WickerCamp) vs Shofiqul Alam (Evolution Gym)…… this bout was 5 x 1.5 minutes under C class rules. From the 1st round this was a true battle of stamina. Both fighters work rate was outstanding and it was non stop punching, kicking and clinch. Shofiqul took an 8 count in the 3rd round from a solid right hand and Henry took an 8 count at the very end of the 5th round!! In the end Shofiqul was just sharper and more accurate than Henry and took the decision on points.
Leon Samuels (WickerCamp) vs Jack Moran (UMA) ….. this was a B class bout over 5 x 2 minute rounds. This was a very technical bout with both fighters taking their time to land accurate shots and not get drawn in. Whilst Leon used his hands very well landing good combinations Jack favoured his legs striking with good body kicks and teeps. It was Jacks higher work that won him the unanimous decision on points.
Roman Carnall was due to fight on this show but unfortunately his opponent woke up sick on the day and was unable to compete. We are hoping to get him matched over the next couple of weekends🤞🏼
