Legacy Show Barnsley
A fantastic event on Saturday evening with some really exciting and entertaining bouts.
Well done to all our WickerCamp fighters, just getting in the ring is a massive achievement.
We had a mixed bag of results which is to be expected when you have 10 fighters competing in one night!!
Ezel Holub won on points with a very good clean performance.
Riley Carnall got a draw with a very strong and solid performance against a very good opponent that we thought should’ve been a win (and in a sportsman like manner the opposition thought too).
Roman Carnall unanimously won on points with an excellent debut performance showing very hood skill and composure for a novice.
Sebastian Holub lost by KO.
Franky Sandor lost on points in a very close fought fight and a solid first time adult performance against a strong opponent.
Henry Chester lost on points in a close fight with a good performance against an unorthodox opponent.
Arkan Hussain lost on points in another very close contest with a good performance against a strong opponent.
Roo MarchMullaney won on points with an excellent performance of skill and tact against a bigger older opponent.
Leon Samuels won a British Title in a very convincing unanimous victory with the best performance of his career.
James Ogden vs Tom Petchkantat for the WMTA World Title promised to be a great fight after a very solid performance by James in the first round scoring well and taking the round.
The Thai is rated #4 at Rajadamneon Stadium in Thailand, Channel 7 Champion and has had over 150 fights, over 4x that of James.
Petchkantat landed one of the fastest left head kicks seen in the second round winning by KO (anyone would’ve struggled to get up from that one).
A worthy opponent indeed and congratulations to him and his team.
Many thanks to all the officials and staff and to Hamdi and Amreen for a great and exciting well run event (albeit sooo long).
Thank you to all our WickerCamp spectators and sponsors who supported our fighters and their opponents so well.
Thank you to my corner team🥰 whom without I could not have managed the day.
