Sebastian won by TKO in the 1st round yesterday. A strong solid performance by this young man who has been through so much in the last 12 months.
In the summer of 2023 after living with a heart condition for nearly 12 months that his GP had not picked up on he was diagnosed with Supra Ventricular Tachycardia. A heart condition that required surgery and eventually rendered him unable to train intensively; a lot to accept at his age wanting to be a fighter. The diagnosis was due to the intervention and help from one of our own students who is a Paediatric Consultant and we thank him so much for his help and support.
He had heart surgery in November 2023 and was given the all clear in February 2024. His recovery was slow and arduous both physically and mentally and after a bad performance in September he was determined to get back in the ring as soon as possible to right his wrong. He refocused and got straight back on it like a true champion and his performance couldn’t have been any better yesterday.
It goes to show that with support and true determination and dedication you can achieve what you want. Well done Sebastian we are all so proud of you.
