A good night for Wicker Camp with all 3 of our fighters performing very well.
Adnan Ali fought extremely well and after a nervous first round settled in to dominate the fight using strong knees in the clinch and good boxing combinations. A convincing win and very good performance.
Kyle Maxwell had a slight more difficult fight with a taller opponent. Again after a nervous start Kyle found his range and exchanged with good strong body kicks and solid body punches. It was a closer fight but Kyle scored more and wore his opponent down in the end. A good win and performance.
Leon Samuels fought a very strong fighter against a more experience opponent with a lot of local support. The fight was close and Leon gave the lad a very good fight. His opponent had a strong body kick which Leon struggled to counter. Leon’s boxing was stronger and he worked better in the clinch scoring with good knees. Overall the fight was a good technical match with the other lad having a higher work rate which won him the fight. An excellent performance from Leon and a very good learning fight to grow from and take forward to the next one.
