Well done to both fighters Leon Samuels and Harry Hardwick.
Leon stepped up a level and fought pro-am rules for the first time which is basically full thai rules but with elbow pads and 5x 1.5 minute rounds.
A very good fight with Leon using his legs very well particularly his body kicks. The fight was pretty even with Leon just edging it by the last round until he got caught with a flurry of body punches in the last 30 seconds and took an 8 count which we think led to a points victory for his opponent. A great learning fight for Leon and tough result to take after such a good performance.
This was Harry’s first fight and a great performance given that. Harry is soooo tall and he used his reach very well landing his jab and long knee effectively. His opponent favoured his hands and was a heavy puncher. Again a well matched bout which we thought Harry had just nicked but the judges thought otherwise.
